It My Money And I Need It Now It My Money And I Need It Now
“…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” Isaiah 61:3
There are times when our life truly feels like a bed of ashes. Burnt out, sulfurous ashes. If we try to grasp and hold onto them, they simply turn to dust, sully our hands and we mourn their loss, unable to restore what once was.
Possibly, there are those who cannot relate to such tragic circumstan. We are all part of this raw human journey called life. Filled with it’s joys, it’s trials, it’s treasures and it’s losses. We, most likely, have all stood on the “Ground Zero” site of our life asking ourselves, “How could this be?” “Is this really what’s left of my life? My plans? My hopes? My health? My expectations? My dreams…”
And yet, there is HOPE…
New LIFE.
Poised to spring forth from the ashes of what once was.
New JOY.
Renewed and restored from the ruins of the brokenhearted.
HE, says to us, “Listen.”
I was sent to bind up the wounds of the brokenhearted.
To proclaim freedom for the captives.
To comfort those who mourn and provide for those who grieve.
To exchange a CROWN of BEAUTY instead of ashes.
Gladness instead of mourning and praise for despair…
Dear One, LISTEN.
Let your soul delight in God’s love for you, rejoice in His plan for you. Allow Him to rebuild the ruins and restore the places long devastated…
He can. He wants to. He will.
Dear One, just let Him…
